Summary:
MakerSquare (acquired by HackReactor) is a full-time in-person programming bootcamp for those looking to transition their careers into software engineering. After working through their program, I realized the incredible value they offered to the public. in 2014, MakerSquare had dominated the programming bootcamp category in Austin, Tx. Truly, they found product fit, but had not yet confirmed market fit. My tenure with MakerSquare involved moving to San Francisco and leading the expansion of the company into the Bay Area. Despite the immense fragmentation and commodification of the bootcamp category in the Bay Area, I helped the company develop specific goals to acquire new clients based on positioning guidelines for different client personas. Within ten months of working with MakerSquare, we had at-capacity classes and were soon acquired by the nation's leading programming bootcamp, HackReactor.
